is currently accepting submissions for the upcoming exhibition and public project "WEAR IS ART"

A survey of Art History in Contemporary Culture
Curated by Samantha Sachs, Inken Bornholdt & Verity Oberg

Curators of “WEAR IS ART” are seeking artworks in every medium for a series of public runway shows and an exhibit in Berlin. Submission is open to all artists who can envision a forward thinking, contemporary, wearable masterpiece inspired by an art movement of the past.

Twenty original wearable pieces of art will be chosen to comprise a contemporary exhibit that embraces facets of public art, fine art, performance, theater, design and fashion. Global audiences will be able to experience this exhibit through a Berlin runway show, a gallery exhibit, a virtual exhibit online and an accompanying photographic essay.

No Entry Fee. Submission is FREE.
Deadline for submissions: 5:00pm EST, December 15, 2010.

January 15: Notification by email of Selectees

April 1-3: Delivery of all wearable artworks to RSProjectspace

April 11: Runway rehearsal at gallery

April 12 & 13: Public Fashion Shows

April 14: Public Fashion Shows/ VIP event at RSProjectspace

April 14 thru May 31: Exhibition of all works at RSProjectspace

June 1-3: Pickup of all artworks to RSProjectspace

Please Note: Artists shall be solely responsible for production, maintenance, safety and maintenance, delivery and pickup of his/her work. RSP shall not be held liable for any loss or damages.

Artists retains all ownership/copyright of their work. RSP reserves the right to use images for promotion or documentation purposes before or after the event with proper accreditation to artist.
